In order to reconcile his responsibilities as Spider-Man with his love with Mary-Jane, Peter Parker has finally been able to put the pieces of his formerly fractured life back together. Our little hero, however, faces more obstacles. In addition to capturing Flint Marko, Uncle Ben’s genuine killer, who has evolved into Peter’s most formidable opponent so far—the Sandman—Peter’s old friend Harry Obsourne has turned into The New Goblin in an attempt to exact revenge on Peter. Peter’s suit abruptly turns jet-black and substantially intensifies his powers, giving the impression that all hope is lost. Peter finds himself engrossed in the identity of Peter. It is not just his biggest foes that Peter must battle, but also the darkness inside of him.
